More intentional living and parenting. At the heart of it all, what brings me joy is simple. I love nature and being out in it. Animals of all kinds and sizes. Creativity, family, and I absolutely adore children. Spending time with family and the adventures of traveling truly fill my cup. But becoming a Mom has been the biggest adventure and GREATEST joy of my life. Hands down, it’s the most important title I have ever had. Like so many parents, I often find myself caught between the feeling of trying to soak up every fleeting moment I can. While at the same time, a small but agonizing part of me wishes to go back and relive the ones that already passed. And not because I didn’t value them the first time, but because like most things with hindsight, I realize I could’ve been more present. Less focused on perfection or details that really didn’t matter in the end. To have been truly present and in the moment.

So where does Cottage Craft Studio fit in? That longing, that desire to slow down and truly take in the moments of life, is what led me to start Cottage Craft Studio. The idea to help others realize the importance of taking in the smallest moments before they slip past. It’s a blend of passions. Creativity, family, and storytelling all woven into a space where I can share my journey as it unfolds. Now, I’m not an expert or a child development specialist. I’m just a parent, walking this same road, learning as I go. Trying to take in the beautiful gift of parenting and nature around me. Hoping I can offer friendly advice on what I’ve figured out (or haven’t yet) along the way. The intent is to save you time or the mis-steps I’ve taken and to have this space become more than just my outlet. The goal is to have it become a community where we can slow down together, find inspiration from nature, and remind ourselves to embrace the beauty found in the little things around us.

What I hope for is simple but meaningful. I hope to help parents pause long enough to notice the little giggles, and curious wonder that make up childhood. And realize just how fast it goes. I hope this space encourages you to create moments—big or small—that turn into treasured memories. I feel if we can be even the smallest of light for one another as we travel down life’s path - shouldn’t we? And if something I share brings a smile, creates a moment for you to spend together, or even just reminds you to pause and take a breath, then I’ll count that as a win.

I don’t quite know where this journey will lead. It’s a bit of an unknown road, forming as I go. Honestly, that’s what makes it exciting. And scary. I’m sure there will be bumps, detours, and some lessons along the way. But I invite you to come along anyway. Like any good road trip, I hope it’s filled with good conversation, shared stories, a few new discoveries, and yes—snacks. Because every roadtrip adventure is better with snacks.

While the path may twist or curve, the reason for this journey is clear: a more intentional way of living and parenting. Where we pause long enough to appreciate the simple joys. Where we remember that the messy, imperfect, everyday moments are often the ones that matter most. That’s the heart of Cottage Craft Studio, and why it came to be.
